THE INDIAN TOUCH

Almost 3 months and here is the outcome. This was one of my handmade snakes and ladder game which i made using recycled fabrics and Indian embroidery. Beautiful stuff can be made out of recycled materials, just need to know , "what", "how" and "where" to use it.I tried to play with some of the basic stitches like slip stitch, chain stitch, couching , etc.along with the fabric. And the technique  used for it was "Applique".Hope you guys love it.

LUDO GAME

TIC TAC TOE GAME

This were the other awesome handmade games i made. In my childhood i used to play this game in the middle of our classes as we used to find the lectures too boring so we used to make boxes in the books and played "X" and "O". So this was an interesting idea according to me to make this game as you just need to place the pieces. I used the "mustache" and  "tie" concept which connects two kinds of people , one would be a gentleman wearing a tie and another is a villager with a mustache.Actually i just loved the concept of the "Tie" and the "moustache" so i used them and made it. What happens with me sometimes is that i go reverse of the process, the product turns out first and then i try to relate it with the concept.

TRUCK ART

We had a workshop for accessory design where we went through the whole process from concept building to the journey till the final product. So this was my theme for this project. So first of all let me tell you guys something about Truck art.

The truck art,an art form that makes journeys through dusty highways of India, incredible in typography and bright paints, motifs. These Indian trucks takes you on diverse cultures of our country.Truck art is something associated with "Kitsch art". It contains the graphics, motifs, colours and other elements used in truck.I took the truck art basically from India but let me tell you that the truck art of Pakistan is really beautiful and inspirational as the whole trucks are painted in bright colours with beautiful motifs and like a newly wedding bride. In India also you may get to see truck art in states like Punjab. The mirrors and doors of the truck are beautiful.

What i had tried to incorporate in my design is basically the bright coloured  motifs, typography like,"HORN PLEASE".So this was the mobile cover which i made and its hand painted. And the lemon mirchi you can see is i got from Haridwar when i was travelling and i saw it in the form of keychain so i bought it thinking that i would use it in some of my collection.
